Imagine waking up first thing in the morning and not be in a rush to get to work. I picture being able to see the sun through my closed eyes, but not having to worry that I’m going to be late for anything. Sleeping in instead of asking someone if they need help. I just — wait what?!
Whew. Okay, okay. Let me go back and start from the beginning.
I don’t hate my job! I can’t imagine doing anything else. I have dedicated so much time and energy into bettering the city that it’s all that fills up my mind sometimes!
I like to work early and leave late. I get so into what I’m doing and even forget to eat lunch! Don’t worry! I make sure to have a mocha every morning! If there’s plenty of fruit growing I can snag a crisp apple or a juicy orange – no problem at all.
However, there’s the smallest chance I can slip away if things are in order around the city and everyone is occupied doing their own work. This doesn’t happen often. BUT if it does…
I try not to cause too much of a stir so I’ll quietly excuse myself and head towards the edges of the city. I’ll hope that the weather is mild and it doesn’t get too hot. A lot of people don’t know this about me, but I keep a fishing pole nearby at all times! You never know when you will need it. Sometimes I, uh, accidentally give my fishing pole away and have to get another one. So I get my fishing pole (if I have it), make sure I have enough bait, and finally cast out!
I can feel my mind go blank and most of my worries go away. The needs of the people in town are still in my thoughts, but I fret a little bit less – if only for a moment.
Out here it’s just me… my fishing pole… and my bait.
I can’t think of anything more relaxing.
